The Arup SoundLab is an immersive audio environment designed for the creation of realistic acoustical simulations and experimentation in sound art and music.  It is a purpose-built studio laboratory that uses 24 high-precision loudspeakers in a semi-spherical array designed to leverage several immersive sound formats.  It has been used to predict the performance of concert halls, demonstrate complex transportation noise, and study the acoustic characteristics of critical listening spaces. Additionally, the SoundLab serves as a creative tool for sound artists and musicians.

Arup SoundLab: Virtual Acoustics, Art, and Design is presented as part of Fulcrum Festival 2024: Waves Upon Waves.
